Abortion Lies

Get Your Hands Off My Mind

The planned legislation includes a provision to force civil marriage registrars to comply with requests from homosexual partners. Under the bill, a civil registrar who conscientiously refuses to carry out such a ceremony will face criminal prosecution, a possible fine and up to 6 months in prison. Similar penalties will be meted out for anyone refusing for reasons of conscience to rent meeting facilities for homosexual partnership ceremonies.-LifeSiteNews

There is no greater illustration of the disconnect between the “left” and the “right,” politically, in the world at large than the twin debates over abortion and homosexual marriage. In the [...]

Abortion Violence

We all know that unless women are given the “right to choose,” they will resort to “back alley abortions,” that endanger their lives, right? We’ve all heard about how thousands of women a year died in these “back alley abortions” before abortion became legal (up to the moment of birth, in fact). The interesting thing is, we don’t ever hear about the opposite side of the problem.

Women who refuse requests from their husbands or boyfriends to have abortions are often finding themselves subject to violent attacks that sometimes result in their deaths. That’s the finding of a [...]

The Medical Consequences of Abortion

A couple of recent studies that reflect negatively on abortion have come to our attention. We in turn want to make you are aware of them—not because they are shocking, but rather because the secular “news” media has once again found it not in their best pro-death interest to report them objectively. For the most part, there has been no mention of them.

induced abortion actually puts women in danger of bleeding/hemorrhage, infection, and damage to reproductive organs, especially if not all the pieces of the destroyed unborn child are completely evacuated. The risks are even greater for [...]

It's for the Kids

A Seattle mother is irate after she said her 15-year-old daughter’s school arranged an abortion for her daughter without her knowledge.

The mother, whose name has been withheld at her request to protect her privacy, told ABC News’ Seattle affiliate KOMO-TV that the clinic gave her daughter a pass and helped her get a taxi that took her to a facility where she underwent an abortion.

The mother did not immediately return messages left by ABCNews.com. It was not immediately clear how far along in the pregnancy the teen was at the time of the abortion. -ABC

In the Interest of Fairness...

NPR News is revising the terms we use to describe people and groups involved in the abortion debate.

This updated policy is aimed at ensuring the words we speak and write are as clear, consistent and neutral as possible. This is important given that written text is such an integral part of our work.

On the air, we should use “abortion rights supporter(s)/advocate(s)” and “abortion rights opponent(s)” or derivations thereof (for example: “advocates of abortion rights”). It is acceptable to use the phrase “anti-abortion”, but do not use the term “pro-abortion rights”. -NPR

Government Eugenics

I want to revisit this quote for a moment:

“What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,”…” -WSJ

The Wall Street Journal has precisely the right reaction:

“What Stupak is hearing from his colleagues is not the pro-choice argument that the government should permit abortion as a matter of individual liberty. Rather, they claim that the government should encourage abortion as a social expedient–a cost-cutting measure. … But as a matter of cold cost-benefit analysis, [...]

Abortion: The Truth

“Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.” -Justice Ginsberg, Supreme Court of the United States

Each time you hear someone say, “it’s for the children,” you should remember this statement. The truth is that liberalism has a total disregard for human life. As one prominent politician argued, before becoming a liberal:

“If one accepts the position that life is private, and therefore you have the right to do with it as you please, one must [...]

The Slaughter Rule

The Democrats are in a hurry to pass the so called “health care reform,” legislation. To make a long story short: the House of Representatives is planning to pass an amendment to the Senate version of the healthcare bill that includes a rule stating the bill has already been passed. In other words, they won’t vote on the bill itself, only on a rule determining the bill has already passed.

It’s appropriately called “the Slaughter Rule,” after the House Rules chairlady. It’s also called the “Slaughter Rule,” because it will overcome the resistance to abortion funding through Federal [...]

The Shameless Abortion Carnival

If anyone was looking for a self-righteous extreme feminist, they found one in Angie Jackson. This is a woman who was so proud she was aborting her baby that she announced she would “tweet” her chemical-cocktail abortion live, as it happened, on Twitter. The liberal media found this made-for-TV slaughter fascinating, and not at all a controversy worthy of discussing with two sides.Newsweek’s Sarah Kliff proclaimed: “One hundred thousand people have watched Angie Jackson’s abortion. Late last month, Jackson posted a video of herself to YouTube, recorded after she took RU-486, a medication used to end pregnancies.” Kliff [...]

People as Things

Here are several apparently unrelated news stories from the last week or two.

Men who do not look at pornography are difficult to find. A researcher at Canada’s University of Montreal attempted to conduct a study comparing the opinions of men in their 20s who had never looked at pornography with those who had, but he encountered an obstacle. The researcher, Simon Louis Lajeunesse, was forced to give up his original plan when he failed to find any men who had not consumed pornography. -The Trumpet An article over at Bookwork Room discusses the increasing of funding for [...]

The Scales Fall Off

But now Planned Parenthood wants to put this woman under a gag order. Maybe they realize anyone who’s ever run one of their abortion clinics is bound to know too much.

News from the Culture War

Then his wife said to him, ‘Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die.’ Job 2:9

Our culture has become Job’s wife. If your material wealth is taken away, then you should just curse God and die.

[He] offered an economic argument for the efficiency of his clinic. “For every 50 suicide attempts we have one suicide and the others are failing, with huge costs to the National Health Service.”

If you have no more pleasure from life, then you should just curse God, and die.

He couldn’t walk, had no hand function, but constant [...]

Rush's Question

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh’s show yesterday (actually, I was listening to a show that was a couple of days old, since I download parts of the shows, rather than listening to them in real time). He asked a question that has probably been asked before, but it’s worth asking again.

Mr. Obama says abortion should be legal. He says its a gut wrenching question with moral and spiritual aspects. Okay, fine, I agree. But then Mr. Obama says it’s a finally a matter of choice on the part of the woman.

Now I’m confused. There is [...]

LiveAction Films

If you’ve not already seen this, you should watch it. In the summer of 2008, a few girls went through the US, recording their interactions at various Planned Parenthood clinics. They posed at 14 year old girls in various situations, from being sexually abused, to having 30+ year old boyfriends. In each case, they were told not to talk about what happened, only what to say to get the abortion they wanted. These videos are astounding.

While they don’t have a Christian angle within the films, the message is clear. When you devalue life, then no number of [...]
