Janet NapoliÂtano will visit Spain to “meet with her interÂnaÂtional counÂterÂparts to seek tougher interÂnaÂtional aviÂaÂtion secuÂrity meaÂsures.“ FurÂtherÂmore, she intends to deploy at least 300 make-your-body-naked image scanÂners at U.S. airÂports in 2010.
All of this is the knee-jerk from a single Nigerian underwear-bomber.
ConÂsider the facts: This terÂrorist purÂchased a plane ticket with cash days before his flight (that’s a no-no). He boarded the plane without lugÂgage (that’s also a no-no). He boarded the plane without a passÂport (that’s a really BIGÂ no-no).
To any normal brain, this guy should never have been allowed into the terÂminal, much less to the gate and even less, onto the plane. There was no failure in techÂnology, but only a failure in people’s judgÂment, which is rapidly comÂpounding with logic made posÂsible only by the Obama/Napolitano/DHS secuÂrity team.
IncomÂpeÂtent, stupid people should be fired”¦ a good starting place would be all the people who had conÂtact with this bomber.
The comÂpeÂtent, smart (and couraÂgeous) people who jumped the bomber and subÂdued him (all real AmerÂiÂcans) should be awarded medals of honor and a $100,000 cash award. Notice should be posted that any future flier will be simÂiÂlarly rewarded if they take out any more would-be terÂrorÂists on any airÂplane anyÂwhere in the world.

I am not American, but this is the country where everyone comes to look for their rights! (it is a country that is perceived to be country that respects). But after watching such video’s…Hope just slowly goes away…

They might explain this things as for our own safety and protection…but how long more we need to suffer because of the “terrorism” idea…yesterday I watched “Avatar”, where “general” or whatever said to his soldiers…we need to fight against “terrorism”, but those creatures were peaceful…they were just “Different”!!! it is interesting how people fight against “different”…instead of using it for good, we always separate and fight…

I would hope that my wife and kids would fight for themselves. As far as shooting at the police, I can’t answer that. While I can say there are times when people should not shoot at the police, and there are times when people should have shot at the police (look at Nazi Germany–perhaps had the cost for rounding up Jews been higher the entire public support for the program would have collapsed)–but I can’t answer for you, or anyone, in the hear and now.
As for rights, it’s always important to consider what sorts of rights you’re talking about. Many people want their rights to peace and safety, but there’s no “right” to these things. We scream “rights” without thinking, don’t we?
I think people just want “human” rights…is it that hard…how many Iranians we can find in North America….LOTS of them. They just want themselves to decide on their lives(how to live, what to believe in) without harming people around!
