No, this isn’t a spoof. According to Newbusters, this is a real painting of Mr. Obama, to be released on his 100th day in office. Their take is that the Obama worship is getting a little out of hand. My take is a little different.
The world has stopped looking for a set of laws that will produce a just society. The world has stopped looking for God. The world is now looking for a man to solve all of its problems. The world is ready for the Antichrist.
Is Mr. Obama that man? Let me ask: Why does it matter? Are we so consumed with the Antichrist that we must run around guessing who it is, or claiming one person or another is him? No. On the other hand, we should see these things as a sign. The world is looking for a man to save them. History has been slowly narrowing the choices to two. Yeshua and the Antichrist. The world has rejected Yeshua.
Whether the world realizes it or not, it is being funneled down a narrowing hallway of history towards the Antichrist. The walls of separation are rising, not falling. The choices are becoming more distinct, and harder, not easier. The light you see at the end of the tunnel is either God, or its a train. Take your pick.
