Staring Down the Chasm

How long will it take us to realize that the end of the sexual revolution is simply total submission to our animal natures? If you don’t believe me, then take a look at the article around this quote.

If, for instance, you were living in a society where heterosexuality is proscribed or prohibited and you were told that you had to get therapy to change your sexual orientation, you would probably say that that is slightly crazy. In other words, you would not accept that at all. I use this analogy to say that, yes indeed, pedophiles do not change their sexual orientation. -Life Site News

The point here is that the concept of normal only comes from the social structure in which you live. That if you lived in a culture with nothing but homosexuals, then someone who was heterosexual was told to change their orientation to be “normal,” that person would think the social structure was a bit crazy. The speaker carries this point farther, saying that we actually live in a culture that considers pedophilia wrong, and yet it is “perfectly natural,” so pedophiles look at us like we’re crazy when we ask them to change their sexual orientation.

Yes, their sexual orientation. Once you’ve banished God, and natural law as a proxy for God, then you’ve banished all hope of any moral standard other than “if your body tells you its right, then it must be right.”

And that, in a nutshell, is the end run: to return to nature, to return to our animal natures. To ignore what our minds tell us, and do what our bodies tell us will make us feel good. This has been the essence of the temptation from the beginning.

“Go on, Eve, you have passions and desires. Why should you deny them? If God put those passions there, they must be good, right? Look at me, I’m an animal, and I just follow my desires. Aren’t you an animal? Why shouldn’t you follow your desires?”

And once you step, your mind will follow. Doing impacts thinking as much as thinking impacts doing. When you get to the bottom of this chasm, you find you’ve followed the evolutionary course. One being human, you become ape.

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. -Genesis 3:6

Beware of serpents bearing gifts of feeling good.
